Abstract: Boron-doped diamond is an ideal nonmetallic catalyst cathode material for oxygen reduction reaction in fuel cells. The relationship between boron content in boron-doped diamond and sp2-hybridized graphite phase content and oxygen reduction reaction potential and current density is reported. The results show that a certain amount of boron in boron-doped diamond has a positive effect on catalytic oxygen reduction reaction activity. With the increase of boron content, the oxygen reduction reaction potential does not change obviously, but the reaction activity first increases and then decreases. sp2-hybridized graphite phase is related to catalytic site and step atomic density.
