Introduction: The main research is on silicon-based cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries. The research on high-capacity silicon-based cathode materials is carried out to address the problem of low capacity of lithium-ion battery cathodes, which greatly limits the energy density of lithium-ion batteries. By introducing alloying elements into the silicon-based anode material, an alloying compound of silicon is formed to effectively alleviate the volume expansion during lithium-ion battery de/embedded lithium, while providing a good electron transport channel. The nanoparticles were prepared by arc evaporation to study the evolution of nanoparticle nucleation and growth microstructure. Unlike the traditional chemical method of preparing silicon-based nanomaterials, the nanoparticles prepared by the purely physical method are of high purity, high yield, and controllable morphology and composition, which are conducive to meeting the requirements of large-scale industrial production. By introducing different kinds of metal elements and regulating different ratios and process parameters, silicon-based alloy nanoparticles with different silicon equivalents are prepared. The aim is to improve the energy density of silicon-based anode materials for lithium-ion batteries and effectively enhance the range of power batteries.
